Dan Wolff & The Muddy Crows Release Eclectic Collection During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Dan Wolff & The Muddy Crows, known as Washington DC's Best Original Band, have released a new EP called "Here We Go." Streaming in July 2020, this 3 track EP is the perfect excuse to talk about something other than the Coronavirus!
"Their songs are more infectious than the latest mutation of the Coronavirus!" -Everyone (Probably)
The title track song, "Here We Go", is a crowd-pleasing opener that the band often uses to get the show started off right. With repeating lines, the crowd is known to sing along, while guitar solos ramp up the energy. The song, "Burn", loosely alludes to the parable of "The Rich Man and Lazarus," from the Gospel of Luke. The feeling of despair from the narrator highlights a history of bad decisions and missed opportunities for redemption. This song is likely to resonate with many who are feeling a sense of despair during this period in our nation's history. "Everybody Knows" explores the idea of being blind to what's right in front of you, while everybody else knows what's going on. With highly memorable lyrics, the song hits a poetic chord. "Sometimes I get lost trying to find the light-switch in the dark."
