Grenon describes "Imaginary Friends" as "an anthem for the lonely" and it's May 1st release was planned to coincide with the start of Mental Health Awareness month.
"If I wasn't awkward all the time, I would have a better life. Why can't we just play pretend? All my friends are out and I'm alone, listening to the static tones buzzing through my ears again... while I dance with my Imaginary Friends." - Lyrics
Punk inspired pop-rock band GRENON are a bunch of teenage kids from the middle of nowhere in New Hampshire. With too many feelings bottled up inside, they turned to music to express their emotions and experiences. The band is comprised of Kacie Grenon (lead vocals/guitar), Nick Turgeon (lead guitar, vocals), Zachary Stone (drums), and Spencer Gregory (bass, keys, vocals).
In 2019, ReverbNation selected GRENON to compete in LiveNation’s High School Rock Off at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH where they advanced to the finals, representing all of New England as one of the top 12 high school bands in the nation. GRENON was also a semi-finalist and opening act for the Radio.com 'We Can Survive Concert' at the Hollywood Bowl. In addition to their Best Video nod, New England Music Awards honored Grenon with a second nomination for 2019 Best New Act. The band released their debut single Goodbye in 2019 and are currently supporting their latest release, the 5-song EP, mental hell[th]. With a management team in place, the band is ready for national expansion.
